About Us

Niels Pedersen, S.A. was founded in 1989 in Panama City, Republic of Panama, by a family of Danish immigrants with very humble origins, always with the firm vision of becoming a leading supplier of smoked and fresh fish in the region. The company currently has over 70 employees working under the “Gourmar” brand and distributes to more than 15 countries in South America, Central America, and the Caribbean.

The company is primarily dedicated to processing high-quality fish such as Salmon and Tuna, applying traditional Scandinavian methods combined with cutting-edge technology, 100% preservative-free, resulting in high-quality products with exquisite flavor.

Our Company

Today, we have a portfolio of over 50 high-quality fish products, which are processed and vacuum-packed in smoked and fresh frozen portions with a convenient presentation designed to meet the needs of our customers, whether they are in the Retail or Food Service markets.

Although the core of our company is the sale of smoked and fresh frozen fish, we also have a section of breaded products and delicious refrigerated dips that showcase our focus on increasing our customers' purchasing options. We constantly adapt to the needs of the current market while always offering the highest quality.

We have a network of distributors in the Caribbean, Central America, and South America, supported by our processing plant and marketing department to promote and grow our products.

The processing plant of Niels Pedersen S.A. is Kosher certified and equipped with high-tech food processing equipment and an internal laboratory that continuously monitors compliance with strict quality levels according to the HACCP system.
